Mary Brascia grew up playing a number of athletics including swimming, golf, softball, soccer, and tennis. She’s been quietly grinding away, playing pickleball since mid-2020 after being introduced to the sport by her family. However, Mary was in the midst of a successful collegiate tennis career at Biola University and could not commit to professional pickleball until graduating in May 2022.
Since turning pro, Mary has competed on the PPA tour and often plays alongside her younger sister, Maggie Brascia. In 2023, Mary won her first PPA silver medal in women's singles and has improved upon that significantly in 2024. Now, Mary has four silver singles medals to her name and lifted her first trophy at the 2024 Selkirk Red Rock Open.
Mary switches between the Halo Pro XL for singles and the Halo Pro Max for doubles. She is also sponsored by AvaLee, pickleball's first and only performance line designed for women, by women!
