Selkirk Sport is once again joining forces with pickleball coaches and content creators CJ Johnson and Tony Roig of Better Pickleball as the title sponsor for the 2024 Pickleball Summit. This year’s online event will take place July 14-16.
In 2023, Selkirk’s first year as sponsor, the Summit attracted more than 15,000 players, and attendance at the free online event is expected to increase in 2024.
“We are excited to once again have Selkirk as title sponsor for the Summit,” Tony Roig of Better Pickleball said. “CJ and I have played with and partnered with Selkirk for many years, and we love seeing this partnership grow to include the Summit, our largest online event.”
The Summit is free to attend and features more than 20 top pickleball professionals and coaches, including six Selkirk athletes who will speak during the event: Dylan Frazier, DJ Howard, Quang Duong, Judit Castillo, Linda Thompson and Scott Tingley. Attendees will hear about pickleball mechanics, strategy, gear, mental focus, injury prevention and more.
As part of its title sponsorship, Selkirk will also participate in a new Summit event: The Pulse of Pickleball.
This unique pre-Summit event will take place online on July 11. The Pulse is a live-streamed event featuring a panel discussion moderated by Better Pickleball’s CJ Johnson and Tony Roig, who is also a senior pro player. The panelists will engage in a casual, lighthearted conversation about today’s most interesting pickleball subjects and questions, including pet peeves. Selkirk coach and influencer Audrey Banada (@pickleballmamma) will join the panel.
“We are thrilled to once again participate in the Pickleball Summit,” said Selkirk Sport Co-founder and Co-CEO Mike Barnes. “As the No. 1 brand in pickleball, our passion lies in driving the growth of this incredible sport. This Summit is a fantastic opportunity to share our expertise, connect with the community, and inspire players of all levels to reach new heights."
Content for the Pickleball Summit is designed to benefit players at all levels of play, with the goal of providing actionable advice to help them become better pickleball players and athletes and enjoy the game more.
Because it is hosted 100% online, attendance at the Summit is open to anyone with an internet connection. The Summit is free, but a ticket is required. Free tickets are available starting 6/22/24 at www.pickleballsummit.com.
