The new paddle is also slightly heavier than the VANGUARD Control, with an average weight of 7.8 - 8.2 oz., and a larger sweet spot than the VANGUARD Control.
The new Selkirk VANGUARD Pro has a 4-Layer 12k Raw Carbon Fiber Face, layered to enhance stiffness and control while maintaining the flexibility necessary for powerful shots. This advanced construction creates a crisp, responsive hybrid paddle face. With 4 layers instead of the standard 2, there is multidirectional support, significantly boosting face durability and offering exceptional spin.
The VANGUARD Pro also includes a thermoformed foam edge, added to enlarge the sweet spot to increase accuracy, the high-density foam injected walls help absorb vibrations from every hit, for a stable, reliable feel, while also increasing power.
The VANGUARD Pro comes in Invikta and Epic shapes, while the VANGUARD Control is available in Invikta, Epic, and S2 shapes.
