Just three weeks ago, Catherine Parenteau shook the pickleball world with the announcement of her split from Anna-Leigh Waters. The duo had been the most dominant team in women’s doubles, winning fourteen gold medals in 2024 and five more to start the 2025 season. Their win percentage was an astounding 96%.
In the days following the Parenteau-Waters split, the No. 2 team of Rachel Rohrabacher and Anna Bright also went public with news of their separation. Rohrabacher and Bright had achieved an 85% win rate together and were the only team to record multiple upsets over Parenteau and Waters during the 2024 season.
Amid the women’s doubles shakeup, a new powerhouse Selkirk pairing—Catherine Parenteau and Rachel Rohrabacher—will make their debut at the upcoming Atlanta Pickleball Championships. This will be their first time competing together, although their partnership is currently slated for just two tournaments; they plan to explore other opportunities throughout the season.

Both Parenteau and Rohrabacher played the right side in their previous pairings and are fully capable of playing either side. Parenteau’s defense and impeccable reset game, combined with Rohrabacher’s fiery on-court energy and aggressive offense, should make for a formidable team.
The Atlanta Pickleball Championships kick off on Tuesday, May 13, with a progressive draw format. Be sure to tune in from May 13–18 on Pickleball TV to catch the Selkirk duo in action!
