The event featured not only nail-biting matches but also exceptional individual performances that left spectators in awe.

In a stunning display of teamwork and skill, the young duo of Dylan Frazier & JW Johnson (4) defeated the experienced pair of Matt Wright & Riley Newman (2) in the gold medal match, winning 12-10, 11-8, 12-10. The victory came in three straight games, with Frazier & Johnson demonstrating exceptional hand speed and composure under pressure. Their incredible synergy and communication allowed them to pull off some extraordinary shots, leaving the audience in awe. They are undoubtedly a duo to watch as the PPA Tour continues.

Federico Staksrud & Selkirk's Pablo Tellez showcased an impressive performance throughout the tournament and secured the bronze medal.

Women's Doubles Championship: Top-seeded Kovalova & Smith Overcome Slow Start

The top-seeded duo of Lucy Kovalova & Callie Smith overcame a slow start to ultimately defeat Andrea Koop & Anna Bright (3) in a thrilling four-game match, with scores of 7-11, 11-7, 13-11, 11-3. Kovalova & Smith's efficiency and tactical play, which included effective cross-court dinks and well-timed speed-ups, led to their hard-earned gold medal and championship title. Their relentless spirit and determination were evident throughout the match, inspiring both fellow competitors and fans alike as they brought home the championship.

Yana Grechkina & Lauren Stratman put up a strong fight during the tournament and secured the bronze medal with great finesse.

Mixed Doubles Championship: Sibling Power with Jorja & JW Johnson

In an impressive display of sibling chemistry, Jorja & JW Johnson (7) clinched the mixed doubles championship title by defeating the powerful duo of Lacy Schneemann & Tyson McGuffin (12) with scores of 11-9, 11-7. The Johnson siblings' strategic play and quick hands were the key to their victory, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with on the tour. Jorja's exceptional defense and JW's aggressive offense complemented each other perfectly, making them a dynamic and unstoppable duo.

The Newport Beach Shootout was also a fantastic opportunity for young and upcoming talents to showcase their skills, with several breakout performances drawing attention and admiration from pickleball enthusiasts.
