Poppy, Solid Feel. Hit with pinpoint accuracy.
Our pickle crew played with the S1s yesterday. We generally play the X40 and occasionally the Durafast. 4.0-5.0 level of play range.
We cycled through four balls in just under 4 hours of play. They held form pretty well, no cracking, some slight warping occurred on two of the balls. The two effected balls still played quite consistent in spite of the slight degradation of spherical shape. No cracking, temps were in the upper 60s.
We had some of the best rallies and points we have ever strung together as a group with these balls, could have been a coincidence. The balls play softer then the X40s, but somehow offer more speed, control, and pop. It feels like you get a little more dwell time on the paddle from the S1. We play the Power Air, Control Air, Legacy Pro, 003, and a Paddletek.
With just one session of use I can’t offer up much more then this. Overall we all enjoyed the feel and play style that the S1 delivered! They hold shape much better then the Durafast. Not as light and poppy, but still dynamic. It’s worth giving them a try.
