Hailing from Naples, Florida, JoAnne Russell is a legend of the tennis world, winning the ladies’ doubles title at Wimbledon in 1977. Additionally, JoAnne is a US Open mixed doubles finalist and a two-time WTA Tour Finals winner.
While teaching tennis at a local club, JoAnne learned that a few members were interested in pickleball, prompting her to learn the game. She went to a local park and was invited to jump in and learn - she has been playing ever since that day.
Now, JoAnne plays on the senior pro tour and teaches pickleball. In 2023, she worked with Selkirk on the Champions Series, which provides valuable insights into the game of pickleball.
