Selkirk Sport launches new SLK ERA Power, designed to support aggressive play
June 24, 2025

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – June 24, 2025 – Selkirk Sport today launched the SLK ERA Power, a performance-forward pickleball paddle engineered for players seeking powerful, tech-driven design backed by a one-year warranty.
Marking the debut of new paddle shapes under the SLK brand, the SLK ERA Power combines cutting-edge construction with innovative features that enhance power, spin and forgiveness for aggressive play.
As pickleball continues to evolve, players, especially those moving beyond casual play, are increasingly seeking paddles that can keep up with their intensity. The SLK ERA Power answers this demand with lively power and a massive sweet spot, delivering velocity that catches opponents off guard.
“We’ve seen the game evolve, and the demand for powerful paddles that also provide forgiveness is growing,” said Rob Barnes, co-founder and co-CEO of Selkirk Sport. “The SLK ERA Power is a direct response to that need. It’s built for players who want to dominate the court with hard drives and spin-heavy shots, while also benefiting from an accessible price point.”
The SLK ERA Power features Selkirk’s new Dynamic Fusion Core, which combines a polypropylene honeycomb with low-density EVA foam in the perimeter and handle for enhanced stability and forgiveness. This innovative design ensures powerful, consistent shots, even on off-center hits.
Additionally, the paddle’s 3-Layered Face, a blend of fiberglass and T700 Raw Carbon Fiber, provides increased dwell time and superior grip on the ball for enhanced spin control.
The paddle is available in two distinct shapes: Elongated and Widebody. The Elongated is designed for players who seek an extended reach and added leverage, while the Widebody offers a broader sweet spot for increased forgiveness.
Top professional players, including Rachel Rohrabacher, James Ignatowich, and Catherine Parenteau, are already using the SLK ERA Power in their game, demonstrating its effectiveness at the highest levels of competition. Renowned tennis and pickleball player Jack Sock praised the paddle’s design.
“This is my favorite paddle to date,” Sock said. “It’s got power, it’s got control, it’s got good grit on the face. Obviously, the game is getting very fast now — the balls are getting faster, the paddles are getting faster — it’s all happening a lot quicker. So, for me, the Era Power helps me keep up. I feel great on court, I feel confident.”
The SLK ERA Power retails for $200 and comes with a one-year warranty. The SLK ERA Power is available now on Selkirk.com and at select retailers.
