Chad Edward's Wild Path From Professional Baseball Recruit to Renowned Pickleball Coach and Commentator - The Future of Pickleball Podcast on SelkirkTV

SELKIRK TV released a new episode this week of its original show - The Future Of Pickleball - with special guest, coach and commentator Chad Edwards.

In this episode, host Paul Olson and Chad Edwards discuss his Chad's experience growing up and playing baseball in Australia, his transition into coaching, his discovery of pickleball, his take on the latest pickleball streaming/broadcast developments, and the evolving skills, physical attributes, and strategies of the sports top players.

"Overall athleticism is a huge part of pickleball, especially with the speed coming coming into it," said Chad Edwards. "A transition for me coming from baseball to pickleball was reaction speed, anticipation, and reading someones body and paddle. It's similar to trying to pick up rotation on a ball, finger movement, and placement of a ball in baseball."

Chad Edwards began as a talented baseball player in Australia, where he was recruited in high school by several Major League franchises. He then transitioned into a coaching role, starting a coaching business before discovering pickleball alongside his wife and decorated pickleball legend Simone Jardim. Edwards and Jardim then carried that instruction business over to the pickleball world, where they have become important advocates and educators in the sport.
