Both Selkirk pickleball stores offer pickleball courts with Titan ball machines to help you test out all of our paddles so you can select the right one for you. Here are some things you should know before demoing a pickleball paddle:
Demoing a pickleball paddle
At the Selkirk pickleball stores in Boise and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, we have a court setup and ball machine to help you test every in-store product.
- Boise: Mini-court with a ball machine.
- Coeur d’Alene: Two full pickleball courts with a ball machine on each court.
Both stores have a setup with every available Selkirk, SLK, or Selkirk LABS pickleball paddle for you to test and play with. But if you are not quite sure what your playing style is or what you are looking for, the Selkirk Pro Shop employees on-site will be able to work with you to find the best fit.
Paddle fit specialists to find the right paddle to complement your game
The goal of the paddle demo at Selkirk pro shops is not to try Selkirk paddles for the sake of trying them, it’s to find the right paddle for you. You will have a chance to play with different Selkirk, SLK, and Selkirk LABS pickleball paddles and work with our fit experts who will talk you through your strengths, your weaknesses, and your goals.
Your Selkirk paddle fitter will take you on an in-depth journey to test out each paddle that may work for you until you find a fit. They will ask you more about your game, your play style, and what you are hoping to accomplish.

Add weight to your paddle
Every employee at our Selkirk pickleball stores, can work with you to find your ideal paddle weight and help you add that weight to your paddle, through the right amount and placement of edge tape. Just purchase Selkirk tungsten tape and we will help you add it to your paddle.
Customize & wrap your grip
Selkirk Pro Shop employees can also help you customize your paddle grip on your Selkirk, SLK, or Selkirk LABS pickleball paddle. Or if you just don’t like to wrap your own grip, anytime you visit the store they can help you.
Teach you how to clean your paddle
If you would like to learn the best ways to clean your pickleball paddle, based on its composition, Selkirk employees can teach you the best way to clean it. Just stop by anytime a Selkirk pro shop is open and an employee can show you how to clean your paddle at home.
The Boise Selkirk store also holds paddle customization clinics:
