Major League Pickleball Standout Olivia McMillan Signs With Selkirk Sport

Jacksonville Beach Local Joins Accomplished Selkirk Roster Ahead of Packed 2023 Professional Pickleball Calendar.

Olivia McMillan, who made some noise in 2022 as a member of Mad Drops, a Major League Pickleball franchise, has agreed to a sponsorship deal with leading pickleball brand Selkirk Sport. As a result of McMillan’s success on the court throughout this year, the powerful lefty has secured a Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Gold Card, reserved for the top touring pros for the year of 2023. Additionally, McMillan’s name stands out on the list of draft applicants for the upcoming Major League Pickleball Challenger division draft. McMillan joins a team of world-class pickleball professionals at Selkirk Sport, and has opted to compete with the red Vanguard Power Air Invikta paddle.

“We’d like to welcome talented pickleball professional Oliva McMillan to Team Selkirk,” said Selkirk Co-CEO and Co-Founder Rob Barnes. “We’d also like to congratulate Olivia on securing a PPA Gold Card, we can’t wait to see her continue building on her pickleball accomplishments in 2023.”

Prior to discovering pickleball in 2018, McMillan played Division 1 tennis at the College of Charleston and earned a degree in Corporate Communications. Post-graduation, she became a tennis teaching pro and freelancer for ESPN before picking up the sport of pickleball and becoming hooked. McMillan also brings singles expertise to Selkirk, as she is both a US Open and National singles Champion. She was an integral part of the 2022 MLP Mad Drops, a franchise owned by legendary former NFL quarterback Drew Brees.

Now with the top brand in the sport and with a powerful Selkirk paddle in her hands, McMillan will look to continue adding to her pickleball resume in 2023.
