Why do you need a pickleball-specific shoe versus traditional running shoes?

Traditional running shoes lack the ideal traction for a pickleball court and don’t have the support needed for the game’s sudden lateral movements or pivots. Selkirk’s CourtStrike shoe was uniquely designed for pickleball — every move, every point. Behind the Product

The CourtStrike pickleball shoe started as an observation — many pickleball players were using regular running or tennis shoes while playing. These lack the ideal traction for a pickleball court and don’t have the support needed for the game’s sudden lateral movements or pivots.

As we do with every Selkirk innovation, we first went to the drawing board with a mission: create a shoe uniquely designed for pickleball. Several prototypes later, the LABS S01 and S02 were released to our LABS members for testing and rigorous feedback. We truly believe that no product gets that Selkirk logo until we’re confident our pickleball community will love it.

Players loved the original CourtStrike shoes, but we didn’t stop there. We made data-driven design decisions using player feedback to make them even better.

Better rubber: The upgraded abrasion-resistant rubber is tougher and more durable, lasting longer and withstanding intense games.

Extra wear-resistant protection: New added protective material around the bottom shoelace area better prevents wear and tear.

Selkirk Sport 6-month Sole Warranty

Selkirk Sport CourtStrike and CourtStrike Pro Pickleball shoes are covered by a 6-month Sole Warranty for the outsole. This warranty covers instances where the outsole is worn down and exposes the midsole within 6 months from the purchase date.

Warranty Details:

The warranty only covers the rubber outsole of the shoe. Any damage to the toe bumper or upper material of the shoe is not covered under the outsole warranty.
Each sole warranty claim is limited to a one-time replacement.
Selkirk Sport reserves the right to evaluate and decide whether the shoe qualifies for replacement.
Should the purchased shoe be discontinued, store credit in the amount of the original purchase price on the invoice may be applied toward another pair of shoes.
Sole warranties are valid in the United States and Canada.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping via FedEx Ground takes approximately 5-7 days for delivery. For expedited shipping, there's a 1-2 business day processing time before it ships. Orders placed over the weekend will ship the following Tuesday. Please note that during product launches, high-volume periods, and holidays, processing and shipping times are not guaranteed and will likely be extended due to increased order volume.

What are my options for expedited shipping?
To optimize the customer experience according to individual needs, we offer expedited shipping through various carriers, selectable at checkout. Worth every penny
I’ve tried 4 different brands of pickleball shoes, looking for ones that were narrow but not too tight and these are spot on! Also, the toe box is forgiving so it doesn’t crush my toes. I’ve finally found the shoe I will order again!!

Selkirk Shoes Courtstrike 2.0
I am a 71 yr old pickleball player (rated 3.0-3.5). I play nearly everyday, outside and inside. I have bought almost every brand of pickleball shoes (wide feet). I absolutely loved the shoes but wore out the soles. Of course I had to replace and the only shoe I even considered was the new replacement Selkirk shoes. I also got the other kind in a different color, but the Courtstrike are more comfortable. We will see if these soles last longer (but actually think a year of everyday wear is pretty good.

Great Lateral Support & Real Comfort
Before purchasing the Strike Court 2.0, I had tried other pickleball shoes. While they offered good lateral support, they just weren’t comfortable for me. I was dealing with lower back pain, aching knees, and even discomfort in my metatarsal area.
Since switching to the Strike Court 2.0, that has completely changed. I no longer experience knee or lower back pain after playing, and my feet feel great, no discomfort at all.
I’m extremely happy with this purchase. Great support and comfort. Highly recommend.
